Hi, I'm really happy because, this week I started to work with one of the most talented artist on the animation industry here in Mexico: René Castillo, multiple award winner from his short "Down to the Bone" on stop motion technique.
So, I'm really excited, they're coming great projects

January 15, 2008.00:14 New Year
I hope you have had a great holidays.
I just came back to home the last weekend and after being two months away of my home, I know why you must cover all the furniture with sheets. My apartment was converted into a dust!
Anyway there were good news because I was part of the team of the feature movie: Dragon Ball Z. I'm not a fan of these cartoons but anyway it was a great experience. I have some time without being on site with a team so it was really refreshing and I met great people there. More info here:

By other hand, these year I expect to have one published videogame title (Decathletes for PSP), so, it will be a one movie and one videogame where I was in collaboration . Not bad without being outside mexico.
I hope to have my new demo reel soon
October 13, 2007.02:45 A lot of news
A lot of things happened.
I had the opportunity to visit Vancouver... Really nice city and kind people, and the hotdogs from Robson St!
I guess I visited all the tourist places, I hope to come back someday, I really envy the people who lives there. By other hand it little bit expensive city
I was on siggpaph this year too, this was my first one. it was a great experience, I will be there the next year (If I can). The Autodesk booth was awesome. The people too. San Diego is a nice place too. I was on downtown and Gaslamp area. very nice place and kind people
The last week It was the Creanimax event of this year too, here in Guadalajara, there were people from EIDOS, LionHead Studios, etc. The good stuff here is that it's small place so you could have a good opportunity to know everyone there.
The siggraph was a the reason I'm re doing all my demo reel again. I must prove my skills in a better way, so I'm looking for mechanical exercises, and then acting then. Right now I'm on the mechanical ones. Doing some refining to some of the animations that I recently posted. There are not well enough. The bar out there is so high that I must improve myself.
By other hand being outside from were the action is (because I'm in Mexico) is kind of disappointed. I'd like to be on a studio to really be on a project with all the crew. Working at distance is not cool enough. I'd really like to be with a crew and share all the project. I'm missing all the action.
I talked with René Castillo (one of the most recognized animators here in Mexico) about his next feature movie and maybe I could be on his crew, I hope this because do animation for a movie It could be great because all the storytelling.. a great challenge :-) The production will start until the next year so I will try to be patience (I'm not all the time :-)

Hi, didn't post in a while because the tons of work lately but Fortunately, I have been doing a lot of "realistic" animation. I don't like to think about realism because this is not from the very beginning. I prefer to call it "believable".
These are good news because most of my reel had toon kind of animation but somehow lately my works are taking the way to believable animation. Not because I was looking for it. It is just that the industry is maybe demanding this kind of animation, I don't know why exactly but I hope soon to post a little piece of it. Unfortunately most of the work right now It can't be posted because the NDA's but I will post the work that I can show soon.
